_______________________________________________Your final mixture MUST be at least 60% (alcohol) to be effective. Make sure your quantities will give you that measure.
To be sure, use 99% rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) or ethanol.

Subject: [CU Discussion] Make Your Own Hand Sanitizer Recipe
I was sent this recipe for making your own hand sanitizer from World Precision Instruments in an email. Passing it on just in case it is useful to anyone:
From World Precision Instruments
Make Your Own Hand Sanitizer Gel
Ingredients
½ cup pure aloe vera gel
½ cup rubbing alcohol
1 tablespoon of oil for a moisturizer (jojoba oil, vitamin E oil, coconut oil, olive oil, eucalyptus oil... )
15 drops of essential oils, optional for scent and increased antibacterial properties (lavender, rose, tea tree, peppermint)
Directions
Combine all of the ingredients in a sealed bottle and shake well. Add more alcohol as needed to achieve the desired consistency.
