Dear All,
The Clarkson University Center for Canadian Studies is dedicated to "Promoting education and research on Canada and the U.S./Canada relationship." We are an endowed Center of the University with a limited amount of money available each year to distribute to faculty on projects meeting that objective. Examples of funded projects include:
A conference focused on bringing together scholars from both Canada and the United States leading to long-term cross border relationships
Class Field Trips (both single and multiple day) to Canada
Seed money for research projects focused on Canada or U.S./Canada issues, hopefully leading to additional sources of funding
Seed money to support development of courses with significant Canadian content
Conference travel to Canadian destinations to promote cross border partnerships
The Center considers proposals on a rolling basis, and is flexible on how such proposals are considered. If you have any interest in receiving small amounts of funding for projects similar to those above, or are curious whether a project you have in mind would fit the criteria, please do not hesitate to contact Martin Heintzelman (School of Business, and Director of the Center for Canadian Studies) at mheintze@clarkson.edumailto:mheintze@clarkson.edu.
Thanks!
Martin
